Vienna is consistently ranked one of the world's most liveable cities, and its family infrastructure is exceptional. Imperial palaces, Prater's funfair, and a superb museum quarter make it endlessly rewarding for families.

Vienna's Prater park is home to the iconic Wurstelprater funfair and the Riesenrad giant Ferris wheel. The Natural History Museum (Naturhistorisches Museum) and the Kunsthistorisches Museum both run excellent children's programmes. Schönbrunn Palace has a dedicated children's museum and a zoo right on the palace grounds. The Zoom children's museum in the MuseumsQuartier is one of Austria's best.
